A favorite project of mine was recreating a famous work of art into my own interpretation and through a medium of my choice. I decided to go with "The Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo. Using Photo Shop I and chroma key I used my art to show the recreation of myself or "The Re-Creation of Blake". What once was a person surround by a dark cloud of many thoughts, I brought myself to the light and found myself. Sunflowers were used as a nod to my home state of Kansas. The inscription on the banner is an Italian phrase that translates to "I need to build my bones," essentially meaning "I need to toughen up," "gain experience," or "work my way up" in a challenging situation. As an ode to the original fresco I used almost a fresco like background for my sky.
